Spent collects no personal data. Everything stays on your Mac. No account, no cloud, no tracking, no analytics. We only know which app is in focus — and even that never leaves your device.
We want to be explicit. Spent does not collect, transmit, or store any of the following:
The only thing Spent reads is the name of whichever application is currently in focus on your Mac. It does this using a standard macOS system notification (NSWorkspace.didActivateApplicationNotification) that requires no special permissions, no Screen Recording access, and no Accessibility API access.
All data Spent generates — your hourly rate, your app lists, your session history — is stored locally on your Mac using Apple's standard UserDefaults system. It is never uploaded to any server, never synced to iCloud, and never shared with any third party.
Deleting Spent from your Mac removes all of this data permanently.
Spent uses zero third-party SDKs, analytics services, advertising networks, or cloud services. There are no external dependencies. The app makes no network requests of any kind.
Spent does not collect any data from anyone, including children under 13. The app is rated 4+ on the Mac App Store.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at spent.techfixpro.net/privacy-policy.html with a new "last updated" date. Given that we collect no data, there is very little that could meaningfully change.
